This styled was just for fun and my chance to finally meet and shoot with Jenny! She was so sweet and someone I have followed and loved the work of for so long. We put together this shoot, originally planning for a different location, but with the air quality and smoke from the Camp Fires we decided to head to Auburn. Our models were newly weds Diana and her husband. Makeup by the talented Alexa, and florals by Angela! Overall a fun shoot with gorgeous fall colors and a slightly smoky sky.
I love when couples reach out just to shoot for the sake of their love for each other, no big milestone or event but just because. I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with Malia and even had the opportunity to shoot her senior portraits so was excited when she reached out again.
When we decided on the Palace of Fine Arts, I was stoked, I knew the light would be stunning. However, we made a rookie mistake of doing the session on a Saturday when there were a million people, not to mention a photographer meet up. Nonetheless we made do, it was a great session with beautiful light and Malia and Alex’s chemistry was undeniable!
What better way to celebrate a year of wins, losses, challenges, accomplishments, disagreements, and love. I spent an evening with Ann and Kilol at Black Sands Beach in Marin. They danced and spun, falling and laughing as the sun dipped behind the rocks, to commemorate the first of year of the rest of their life together.
