California (and beyond) portrait and love photographer.
Hi There! My name is Sarah, I'm a photographer based in the Bay Area, California. I'm inspired by natural light and the great outdoors. Nothing makes me happier than photographing adventurous people with the wildest visions. Thanks for stopping by!
The most exciting part is
starting the journey as strangers
and returning as friends

Lucy and Ted wed on the Bay in a friend’s sailboat surrounded by their closest friends and good drinks. Before the ceremony, we sailed out from Sausalito towards the slightly tumultuous Bay where we could see the Golden Gate Bridge, before turning around towards calmer waters. The weather was perfect and they got married on the bow right as the sun dipped behind Sausalito. They ended the night at a nearby restaurant for friend chicken sandwiches.
Amber and Sean’s small private estate wedding was on their own property in Petaluma. They cleared a patch in the eucalyptus grove for their ceremony, surrounded by only their closest friends and family. The ceremony took place in a beautiful white tent, lit by lights as the party danced til the end of the night.
Ray and Vanessa’s session started with Ray’s lowrider bike that he built himself. So in true-Ray-fashion, we had to do some fun shots with it before moving to a grassy field for golden hour.
If 2020 has been a blessing in any way, it has been all the amazing small weddings and elopements. Helina and Cam’s elopement was nothing short of amazing and all my dreams come true.
Angie, Drew and I photographed a special day-after session for them on the beaches of Oahu in some beautiful creations (hakus and bouquet) by the talented Sunriseblooms!
One of my favorite weddings we shot last year was Hannah and Cameron’s at Mountain Terrace in Woodside, CA.
Christina and Omar eloped on Halloween at the lovely white-marble San Francisco City Hall!
I spent a summer day at Full Belly Farm in Guinda shooting with one of my favorite faces, Marissa and working with one of my favorite florists, Hannah or Farmer Hands.
Richard and Courtney tied the knot at the Fort Mason Firehouse with a beautiful ceremony overlooking the water and Alcatraz.
Nicole and Manuel had a festive and joy-filled Syrian wedding at a private country club located at Diablo Grande Golf Course.
Spent a Saturday afternoon at my favorite Redwoods of the Oakland Hills with Margaret and Tim for their engagement session.
Stevie and Mia’s love filled reception at Sabor Mexicano Organic Farm, in Guerneville surrounded by friend’s and family.
Kevin and Kara get married on the perfect fall day at V Sattui Winery in St. Helena, CA.
Kiki and Andrew’s engagement session at Legion of Honor and Baker Beach in San Francisco, CA.
Took inspiration from the ethereal fluffiness of pampas grass for this session with Marissa.
Ray and Sam’s airplane hangar wedding in Southern California at Hangar 21, amidst the summer fires that filled the skies with smoke.
Golden hour session for Malia and Alex at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, CA (a must visit spot!)
What better way to celebrate a year of wins, losses, challenges, accomplishments, disagreements, and love.
We got to shoot with horses at Kilham Farm for Stephanie’s campaign with David’s Bridal.
Beth James Band are in Indie duo that hail from Austin, Texas and stopped in San Francisco for our session atop Mt. Tam before driving up north for their Northwest Tour.
Talk about a dream session! I've been wanting to shoot my first elopement for SO long, I've done several styled elopements, but this was admittedly my first real elopement.
Even though we didn't get a super bloom this year like we did last year, that didn't stop me from searching for this year's poppies. Had to pleasure of having a fellow photographer, Adrienne, kill it in front of the camera.
And by mustard I mean allergies. The East Bay is BLOOMING with mustard everywhere, along the hills, the sides of the freeways, and everywhere in between. Stephanie and I shot this beautiful floral maxi from Windsor.
Spent a cold, foggy day in Yosemite with Keith and Lynn, shooting at several scenic spots in the park.

Natasha and Colton took their annual Christmas photos at one of the Bay Area’s most popular tree farms to announce their pregnancy.
