Emily + Jason Wedding | Berkeley, CA

Emily and Jason got married a few weeks ago at the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley which overlooked the entire Bay Area. Their ceremony was short and sweet with the beautiful sweeping view as the backdrop. They transitioned into cocktail hour that glowed from golden hour. Their wedding was catered with UNLIMITED ice cream, and they did a "first scoop" instead of cake cutting. They ended the night with dancing, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

These two have been together for ten years, and are parents to two cats, and a dog, Tibbers, Luna, and Dino. I grew up with Emily in church and went to the same high school as both Emily and Jason. It was an honor to be able to capture this extremely kind and loving couple's special day.

May Flowers Bring May Allergies

Even though we didn't get a super bloom this year like we did last year, that didn't stop me from searching for this year's poppies. Had to pleasure of having a fellow photographer, Adrienne, kill it in front of the camera. Though neither Adrienne or I are stylists, we did the best with what we have, so if you're a stylist and want to work together on a shoot, let me know!

Let's just say this shoot paralyzed me with spring allergies for a full two weeks. But it was great nonetheless, from the rockier scenery to pops of color from the flowers, and grass that rolled like the ocean in the wind.

An Overcast Day in Yosemite

Funny thing is Keith and I grew up together, kind of, we had been going to the same school and were the same year since kindergarten all the way through high school. Little did we know back in kindergarten we would be photographing each other one day. But it wasn't until his wife, Lynn, who actually also went to school with us, started photography after high school that we linked up!

This was our first trip together, and we spent a day in Yosemite below the clouds and among the mist. It was raining and snowing on and off all day, and while it wasn't ideal for trying to stay dry it made for beautiful photos! Not to mention, these two are pro-posers and models because wherever they go, they take the coolest self-portraits. Thanks for a really great day guys! Check Lynn out here

P.S. Now that we bought our National Parks Pass for the year, let me know if you'd like a session at one of our beautiful national parks!
